Abstract impressionism is where my creative passion comes to life. I am happiest when I allow my work to be intuitive and free flowing. My artwork is like my gardens, layered but free with a mixture of color, textures and unexpected elements creating depth and evoking a mood. I love to mix color with textures, ephemera, paper, metal, or leaves and sticks from my garden to create depth and tell a story. I use this approach no matter the substrate (canvas, wood board, journal, box, or jar) or technique (acrylic painting, encaustic, or collage).

I am never quite sure where my creativity and passion will take me but I enjoy every bit of the journey and I am always excited when a piece evokes more than one feeling.
